About Non-Christian Cults

Let us first make clear our motive for presenting this information.  Our hearts are burdened for those who are being spiritually abused.  As Christians, we are instructed to expose error,  and defend the word of God.  As keepers of His word, Christians are the only ones who can do this.  We wish to be used by God to free those that are being manipulated by these false religious systems. If you or someone you know is trapped in a non-Christian cult, seek help. You can contact us, or any other anti-cult group such as Culwatch.com.

A Non-Christian Cult, as we will define it here, is any religious movement who, claiming to be Christian, have departed from the essential doctrines of Christianity. They will also utilize various mind control methods to keep their members ensnared in the organization.   Having said that, there are cults that do not claim to be Christian at all, but they are not our focus here.  Nevertheless, the methods used to deceive people are usually the same in any cult. Click the link at the bottom of this page to see what those methods are.

The groups that are classified here, and by many others, as Non-Christian Cults include but are not limited to:

Jehovah’s Witnesses
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
The Church of Christ Scientist

Jesus said that in the last days many false teachers would arise. (Matt. 24:11)  We see this trend with ever-increasing frequency today.  Adding to the problem, is the world’s new post-modern relativistic philosophies.  Truth is becoming relative to a person’s interpretation of any given issue, and people will support teachers that tell them what they want to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3)  If absolute truth no longer exists, there is no standard by which to measure reality.

As Christians, we reject relativism.  The Bible is the only standard of absolute truth.  Since the Bible is inspired by the One who created everything, we can be sure that reality is best defined by it.  But like Jesus stated, many twist God’s word to manipulate people to gain their obedience and their money.

One of the missions of Exodus Ministries is to educate people about the cults’ methods of gaining peoples allegiance and exposing their erroneous interpretations of the Bible.
If any group calls itself “Christian” but does not adhere to those doctrines essential to Christianity, and uses mind control techniques to intimidate members into staying in a organization, it quite simply is not Christian.  Click the link here to see what those Essential Doctrines of Chritianity are.
